Supervisors convened in open and public session at 9:00 a.m., March 28, 2006,
in the Courthouse Boardroom in

publication and by broadcasting on radio station KAWL. A copy of the affidavit of publication is on
file in the

VETERAN’S SERVICE
OFFICE
Veteran’s Service Officer, Eric
Williams reported to the Board that he was unsuccessful in getting a volunteer
to drive veterans to appointments about 2 days a week.
After discussion, the Board directed
Eric to put an ad in the Signal for a part – time employee to assist him in
driving veteran’s to appointments.
PUBLIC HEALTH BOARD
Eric Williams informed the Board
that
DRIVEWAY PERMITS
Kimbrough moved and Yates seconded
the motion to approve the following driveway permits:
John Dinneen – replace culvert in
existing driveway on the east side of the NE ¼, Section 32-8-1,
Doug Johnson – to move existing driveway
to the south on the west side of the SW ¼, Section 7-5-4, Bryant Township. Upon roll call, the vote was as follows:

ROAD DEPT. FOUR DAY
WORK WEEK
After discussion, Kimbrough moved
and Yates seconded the motion to approve the Road’s department to work a four
day work week starting May 1, 2006 and ending September 1, 2006. Upon roll call, the vote was as follows:

KENO LICENSE
Cerny moved and Simacek seconded the
motion to approve the renewal of the keno license for 2006 - 2008. Upon roll call, the vote was as follows:

FROM MOTOR VEHICLE FEES

Yates moved and Kimbrough seconded
the motion to approve the application from Sisters of Saint Francis for
exemption from motor vehicle fees on a 2006 Chrysler Sebring. Upon roll call, the vote was as follows:

SESSION
Capek moved and Cerny seconded the
motion to adjourn as Board of Equalization and return to regular session of the
Fillmore County Board of Supervisors at 11:14 a.m. Upon roll call, the vote was as follows:

PIERSON/FITCHETT LAW
FIRM
After discussion, Simacek moved and
Galusha seconded the motion to approve and sign the contract with
Pierson/Fitchett Law Firm for legal counsel regarding the chiller and
renovation project. Upon roll call, the
vote was as follows:

BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
HALL’S SUBDIVISION
Planning and Zoning Administrator,
Gerald Slezak submitted the plat for Hall’s Subdivision, located in the SW ¼,
Section 24-8-2, Fairmont Township.
Cerny moved and Yates seconded the
motion to approve the plat of Hall’s Subdivision as follows:

of Section 24, T8N, R2W, of the 6th P. M.,

ADJOURNMENT
Agenda items “LB975 and General
Assistance” were tabled until a future Board meeting. As there were no other items to come before
